Please, in your next edition of this surevy, include a separate question for all-purpose flours. I second several other comments here that Jules gluten free flour is excellent and I regret not having the opportunity to tell others about it. It's expensive, yes, but it works beautifully in all our old home recipes that we've tried it with so far. I used it a couple of nights ago to thicken a Port wine sauce that was used over slices of a roasted pork loin stuffed with dried fruits, nuts and a spot of Brandy, and the sauce practically made the meal. It was superb. I've made this recipe a half-dozen times before (I'm the man of the house but I love to cook too) and this time, with the Jules gluten free flour to thicken the sauce, it was the best this recipe has ever been. (The recipe is from the L.L.Bean Book of New England Cookery, but we old Mainers, even we who are transplanted down here in Pennsylvania Dutch Country, just call it the L.L. Bean cookbook.)Loved the surevy, with the one exception of the lack of an all-purpose flour question, and I'm sorry that I couldn't answer more of the categories. I've been diagnosed with Celiac Disease for only 4 months and I have a lot to learn (but I've gained back so far 16 of the 25 pounds I precipitously lost), so I look forward to the results of your surevy very much. Many thanks.

The absolute best getlun free pizza is done by a chain in the Seattle/Everett area called Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza. I have had the gourmet garlic and the veggie but I discovered they also do a cheese, four cheese and pepperoni. I have eaten alot of getlun free pizza but this one is as close to a real pizza as you will ever get. I really wanted this pizza so I got ambitious and tracked down where they come from and the Garlic Jim's chain has their own food distributorship called Pacific Coast Foods in Everett, WA. I told them they need to get this delicious product into more places in the Seattle area so I can get it into my neighborhood. Heaven would be to walk out my door, walk down the block and get a getlun free pizza to die for. Thanks Garlic Jim's Famous Gourmet Pizza for doing getlun free pizza right!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Josh! No, unfortunately, I hadn't seen your awadrs program. It looks awesome! I'm so psyched that you're putting so much hard work and effort into getting the gluten-free community the information it wants and needs (I think we've all bought that $7 box of cookies, only to throw it away ).As for clarification: We want to supplement the goal of informing gluten-free shoppers about which products are worth buying with the aim of letting brands and manufacturers know what the gluten-free community likes, wants, and needs. That way, not only do the buyers know what to spend their hard-earned money on, but the companies who make the products also get a bit of thanks. AND, hopefully, they'll take a hint from the results of these awadrs and give the gluten-free community more of the delicious food it loves and deserves!I'm happy to provide more info if necessary! Feel free to post again or shoot me an email (laura-at-triumphdining.com).

Lucy I agree with you! I was SUPER thrilled to see betty Crocker come out with it's GF mixes!Startbucks, PLEAse keep a GF item(s) on the menu. Those of us liinvg with celiacs have it hard enough and to be able to wander into Starbucks and have a cup of coffee AND a treat just like everyone else makes our day. I have been severly sick for over 15 years and just found out 3 years ago when it was from. being now in my 30 s and having to eat NO flour is super hard. Taking another option away is horrible for all of us suffering with this condition. 1/100 people actually have this condition, GF products just need to be advertised more or something. I am quite sad to see them go. Please bring them back so those of us with Celiacs have a treat too.Thank you.
